Apple reportedly shopping for TV display components from major supplier

Foxconn to build 5 new Brazilian factories to help build Apple products
Apple product assembler Foxconn plans to build five additional factories in Brazil to help cater to demand iPads and other tablets, which are expected to combine for an annual run rate of nearly 400 million units within five years.

Rumor: Handset vendors waiting for iPhone 4S demand to cool before releasing new models
International smartphone vendors, including Samsung, HTC, Nokia and LG, are rumored to be waiting until the second quarter to release new handset models in order to avoid direct competition with Apple’s hot-selling iPhone 4S.
Credit card card companies are working to push consumer payments away from plastic cards and into more secure electronic forms, but a MasterCard representative has acknowledged that getting NFC into Apple’s iPhone will be critical in advancing the technology into the mainstream.
New data released on Monday by market analyst Canalys shows that Apple’s iPad was instrumental to an overall growth in the client PC market for Q4 2011, as excluding the tablet’s sales numbers would see the sector posting a net loss.
