Question by Duma: How can I transfer applications from my mac onto my external drive? So I am exchanging my mac and I want to transfer the applications I currently have on my mac onto my external drive so I can put those applications on to the new mac i will get. How can I do that?

you can drag the app from your mac to the external drive. don’t forget the data. you may need the registration data.

another options[suggested by my local apple store] would be to set up your external drive as a time machine. then connect the time machine to your new mac and do a restore.
