Can I switch between my Marshall’s preamp & a Line6 Pod by using the power amp insert on the effects loop?
Question by Shea H: Can I switch between my Marshall’s preamp & a Line6 Pod by using the power amp insert on the effects loop? I want to use the Marshall’s power amp while switching between the Marshall DSL’s pre amp and a Line 6 Pod. Can i somehow use a a/b switch before running the signal into my effects loop?

Answer by Ken CI’ve never tried this, but there’s not reason it shouldn’t work.
PRE Out –> Input A on switch Line 6 Out –> Input B on switch
Switch Out –> Power amp in (or FX return, whatever it’s called).
You’ll just need to take some time to balance the relative levels between the Marshall preamp output and the POD.
