This drive is through an area that, until eight or 10 years ago, was sandy desert. In 2012, however, it has become nearly fully developed with shopping centers, big box department stores, apartments and hotels. Carrefour is the Walmart of Europe and, insofar as I can judge, does a business so brisk even Sam Walton himself would sit up and take notice if he could. Using the Canon FS406 video cam and uploading to youtube is less easy than I had hoped when interfacing with my Mini Mac, but I’ll be damned if I’m going to use a Windows anybody’s idea PC for something I do for fun.
